Links If you've never visited southern Indiana, you're in for a real treat. While you're here, be sure to take time and explore the area. There are lakes, rivers, state parks, the Hoosier National Forest, and other attractions that are all within an hour drive from Bloomington, Indiana. Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) - The Fish and Wildlife division of the Indiana DNR provides extensive information on state lakes and reservoirs including Lake Monroe, Lake Patoka, and Lake Cataract. Hoosier National Forest - This Web site provides maps and information on recreation in the Hoosier National Forest, including information on the Hardin Ridge recreational area. lake-monroe.com - This Web site provides plenty of good information on Lake Monroe, and it covers the services and facilities available in the surrounding area. Monroe County Convention and Visitor's Bureau - The Monroe County CVB is a great resource for information on Monroe County and the Lake Monroe area. Brown County Convention and Visitor's Bureau - The Brown County CVB is a great resource for information on Brown County and Nashville, Indiana. Brown County State Park - This Web site has everything you might want to know about Brown County State Park, one of the most beautiful state parks in Indiana. Patoka Lake Indiana - This Web site provides information on Lake Patoka and vicinity. West Baden Springs Hotel - The West Baden Springs Hotel is an important Indiana landmark near French Lick that was built in 1902. Daily tours are available from May through October.
